His show on A&E is good. I didn't think he was that popular though. I thought they were popular back in the 70's.

Probably as popular now as ever....Gene Simmons is a cash cow.

Hey Spades, you typed "Gene Simmons" in your title, you owe him $.75.

Journey you also typed "Gene Simmons" but since it wasn't in the title, you only owe him $.50. Be sure to make your checks payable to "Gene Simmons" and please use the official "Gene Simmons" US Postage stamp, available at your local post offices. Gene's accountants thank you in advance for your cooperation.

He and Kiss will always have popularity. Some of the best music and showmanship of all time there. If Gene and Paul treated Ace and Peter a little better, they'd probably all still be together. For now, it's not a bad deal for Gene with this show. It lets him stay in the spotlight a little until they think up another money-making strategy.

The music of KISS for the most part is lame. The guitars
are all one chords really. It is the marketing and the makeup that got
this band to where it was and is today. That's all in my opinion.

True. They really marketed themselves back in the 70's. All the cards, comic books, lunch boxes. etc. Re-invented themselves when they took off the makeup (Lick It Up). That was a very good album.

Most "reality" shows are arguably somewhat scripted, but Family Jewels has gone to another level and just hires actors.

Watch one episode and you can tell that those not in the family are mostly actors. The episode when the son went to a college visitation day and the one when they are in London, with the record company tour guide, are just ridiculous.

That said, it is still entertaining.

I've seen only a couple episodes and that came to mind right away. Two lesbians gave Gene a note to meet them at some restaurant and that he wouldn't regret it. Then he actually goes there and they ask him to donate sperm. Just seems to fake to actually happen.

I read up on Gene Simmons not too long ago, and an interview with him also.

Quite an impressive resume he has put together. I will give him that.

I've seen about half an hour of one show and Shannon Tweed doesn't look anything near like she does in that picture; she's a bit of a horse.

I probably spent 70% of my paper route coin on their 8 tracks back in the day-at least until I learned the "club" scab.

I wish Shannon Tweed movies were still on Cinemax late at night/ Those movies made my nights worthwhile when I was 12-15.

Detroit Rock City.

My question is and I know someone has purchased it. The casket they made a few years back that sold for like $5,000. I know Journeyman has one somewhere in his house.
